Caty Solace

Deputy Director

Caty grew up in Emmett, where the river, foothills, and wide-open skies shaped both her imagination and her sense of responsibility to care for the places she loves. As a mom, she’s seen firsthand how access to clean water, open spaces, and safe trails enrich a child’s life — from spontaneous runs on the Boise Greenbelt to long summer days by the Boise River.

That love for community and place has guided her career. Caty has served as Executive Director of both the Idaho STEM Action Center and the Sacramento Ballet, and as Chief Operations and Communications Officer for the Idaho Workforce Development Council. She also co-created Idaho Launch, a statewide program connecting adults with training opportunities, and earlier in her career was Deputy Director for the Trey McIntyre Project. These experiences honed her skills in statewide program design, strategic communications, and nonprofit leadership — skills she now brings to ICL as she guides the Development and External Relations teams to protect Idaho’s landscapes, rivers, and wildlife for the next generation.

When she isn’t working, Caty loves traveling the state, running in the foothills, dipping into the river, or cooking at home with her son. For her, Idaho’s natural beauty isn’t just a backdrop — it’s the heartbeat of family life, and the reason she’s proud to be part of ICL’s mission.
