YVC: The Other Shoe Dropped
We had a good run: the science standards were finally approved, the roadless commission bill sailed through, and the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act resolution was adopted without debate. So it was only a matter of time before the other shoe dropped. This week it did.
YVC: Heading for the Door
As the Legislature moves toward adjournment, there is a palpable sense of haste at the Statehouse. Legislators are ready to conclude their business, pass agency budgets and return to their districts to campaign. While a few issues are still outstanding, we are definitely nearing the tail end of the session.
The Last Days of Harriman State Park?
Harriman State Park is too valuable to use as a political football. It's not worth risking the gem of the Idaho State Parks system.
