Work to restore salmon above impassable dams is picking up steam, led mainly by Indian Tribes.

ICL has supported Rep. Mike Simpson's efforts to pass a Boulder-White Clouds bill for over a decade, and we have tremendous respect for him and his work. That said, our experience suggests that the hill he hopes to climb is very steep. Congress isn't getting anything done. We believe the path to permanent protection is clearer and far more certain with a national monument.
